MESKLA | Brewyon Drudh exhibition Krowji 26.11.22 - 10.12.22
MESKLA | Brewyon Drudh (Mussel Gathering | Precious Fragments) is an expanded sculpture project that took place in Redruth, Cornwall, between June & December 2022. This multi-platform art work used sculpture and conversation to explore contemporary Cornish cultural identity & its relationship with heritage, land and extraction industries. Workshops took place in different venues throughout Redruth. Participants made small sculptural objects from waste material, such as old packaging and repurposed cloth. Alongside the making, there was conversation around the themes of the project, the ideas raised in the podcasts and thoughts on Cornish cultural identity.
