The new Leach Pottery pt 1 Simon Leach
The Leach Pottery, set up in 1920 by pioneer Bernard Leach, was reopened to the public on March 8th, 2008 after major building work and refurbishment. The redevelopment was overseen by Gilmore Hankey Kirke: architects based in Plymouth and, influenced by Japanese design includes new pottery studios and an exhibition room. These three video-tours of the new buildings were made by Bernard Leach's grandson, Simon Leach, himself a potter.
