Sam Thorne, founder of Open School East, Director of Nottingham Contemporary and former Artistic Director of Tate St Ives, speaks about artist-led practice and discusses issues around arts education, funding and the relationship between self initiated practice and institutions with the audience at The Exchange Penzance. This talk was part of Field Notes' project The Clubhouse: a three month celebration of artist-led activity in Cornwall, with contributions from artist groups active over the last 15 years. The Clubhouse ran from October 9th 2015 - January 9th 2016. |
